Adamawa communities on alert

Precautionary measures have been put in place in Adamawa State by the State Governor. The state commissioner for health, Dr Fatima Atiku made this known to Newsmen.
     "His Excellency has directed that we fully
       mobilise the public on precautionary
       measures and early detection. The disease
       is caused by rats; our people should
       Imbibed the culture of hygiene by covering
       their food and foodstuff". Said Atiku.
He also stated that isolation centres and disease control officers in the local government areas bordering Taraba had been placed on alert just incase of an outbreak.
