Bombsell, former People's Democratic Chairman and others moved to APC.

Former PDP chairman in Akwa Ibom State,  Chief Otu Ita Otoyo, and former Senator, Aloysius Eton have decamped to All People's Congress(APC). They moved alongside a former member of the house of representatives, Eseme Eyibo, and many others. They were welcomed into the party at a prayer summit and reception held in  honour of Obong Umana Umana, a candidate of APC in 2014 election.

Chief Otoyo said the major reason decampees left the party(PDP) was because the party deviated from the ideas upon which it was founded. He encouraged people of Akwa Ibom to embrace "Change".

         "We brought change to Akwa Ibom in 2007
           but that change has been hijacked by a
           few people for themselves. I screamed but
           but nobody listened, today, Akwa Ibom
           people have decided for change and as
           such have moved to a new party", he said.
